8 years down, many more to go

Today my husband and I celebrate 8 years together.  Sometimes it seems like an eternity ago we had our little place in an extended stay hotel for about half a year before he went off to bootcamp.  I have learned so many things in that time.  Bills, kids, budgets, etc.  We've moved about a handful of times as well.  There is still a lot to learn.  By no means am I an expert at ANYTHING.  Generally speaking, I feel like I fail at much I attempt to do.  Maybe that is just human nature (or women's nature) - or maybe I really do need a few pointers.  I know I'm not perfect at being a wife for sure (same goes for being a mother) but I am so glad my husband puts up with me.  In a lot of ways he is much better than I am.  He is generally patient with me - even laughs at me from time to time when I am really losing my cool.  Some may think that is a little counter productive, but it's enough for me to snap out of it a little bit and see the error of my ways. Then there are times he just lets me fume, takes it, and then is there to talk when I cool off.  We have been blessed to have 4 beautiful, healthy children and are very grateful for that.  I really wish we could say we haven't aged a day since we got married - but... time is not always kind - and it definitely hasn't been to us!  We've been through a lot since we got "hitched" - here's to hoping the next 8 years see us with more happy days than sad.  I am glad that you are my husband!
